Who runs this

NonFarmersOnly is operated by Neural Rebel LLC, a Phoenix, Arizona limited liability company. “We” means Neural Rebel LLC. “You” means anyone who visits the site, signs up for the newsletter, or claims a listing.

Directory accuracy disclaimer

We aggregate listings from public datasets (USDA Local Food Directories, state Departments of Agriculture, CDFA, USDA Organic INTEGRITY, OpenStreetMap, and similar) plus operator submissions. We do our best to keep entries accurate, but data goes stale. Hours change, vendors leave, farms close.

Before you drive somewhere, confirm with the vendor. Look at their website, call ahead, or check their social. If you find a listing that’s wrong, tell us by submitting a correctionand we’ll fix it.

We are not a party to any transaction between you and a market, farm, CSA, or operator. We do not warrant the goods or services sold by listed operators.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on NonFarmersOnly — particularly in The Non-Farmer’s Almanac— are affiliate links. If you click through and buy something, we earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. We disclose this in line on every Almanac post and we never recommend something we wouldn’t buy ourselves.

This page itself is also our FTC 16 CFR Part 255 disclosure: yes, we have a financial relationship with some of the brands we recommend.

Vendor upload license terms

If you submit a claim on a listing, and you later upload photos of your operation, you grant NonFarmersOnly a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use those photos to:

• display them on your listing page,
• feature them in our marketing channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Reddit) and our email newsletter,
• use them in editorial content on The Non-Farmer’s Almanac.

You represent that you own the photos or have permission from the photographer to upload them. If you upload someone else’s photos without their permission, that’s on you, not us.

You can revoke the license any time by emailing hello@nonfarmersonly.com. We will remove the affected images from the directory and our active marketing channels within 7 days. We can’t retract images already published in past social posts; we will stop reusing them going forward.

Use of vendor-uploaded images outside our own marketing channels — for example, in paid ads we run for a partner brand — is not covered by this license and we will ask you separately before doing it.

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• scrape the directory in bulk for commercial use without our written permission (we offer a data partnership for legitimate uses; ask),
• submit fake claims, vendor uploads, or newsletter signups on behalf of someone else,
• submit content that’s defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or otherwise illegal,
• attempt to break, probe, or overwhelm our infrastructure (penetration testing requires prior written consent),
• use our trademarks, brand mascots (Roma, Sage), or visual identity to imply we endorse or are affiliated with you when we aren’t.

DMCA takedown procedure

If you believe content on NonFarmersOnly infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@nonfarmersonly.com with the subject “DMCA notice” and include:

• identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed,
• identification of the URL on NonFarmersOnly where the allegedly infringing material appears,
• your contact info (name, address, phone, email),
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law,
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf,
• a physical or electronic signature.

We act on valid notices promptly. Bad-faith notices can subject the sender to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Account termination

We can suspend or remove your access if you violate these terms, scrape us, or do something materially harmful to other users. You can stop using the site any time and ask us to delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

No warranty

NonFarmersOnly is provided “as is.” We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any listing or article. To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, Neural Rebel LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of NonFarmersOnly. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the site is limited to the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (which, today, is $0 for free users).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising under these terms goes in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We can update these terms. Material changes get a banner on the homepage for at least 14 days and an email to newsletter subscribers if we have your address. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you the latest revision.
